![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I did my research on original datamoshing and made some effects like classic, glide, sort, echo and repeat (they are pretty easy to use). Some of these types of automation could be accomplished through the usage of a programming framework, or scripting language, but automating at the user interface level can remove a lot of overhead and restrictions. This is the second part of the development where I implemented ffmpeg stuff and a special glitch module called pymosh. I guess theres nothing I can do to even reduce the discolouration (except for color correction in post) Thank you guys Last edited by Monoploid 20th Jul 2021 at 18:22. Similarly one could experiment with automating photo editing processes by scripting with a program like AutoHotkey. If it was just the 'datamoshing' artifacts at the beginning, it would be kinda cool but as it becomes fully overexposed and blown out later in the video it makes it pretty useless. These types of scripts could also be used to automate key strokes while hex editing images, consider a script which would move a certain number of characters across and then insert a character - that could glitch out an image quite nicely. Whats it do Moshy currently has six different modes: prep - Preps a video file for datamoshing with moshy by converting it into an AVI with no B-Frames (theyre not good for moshing), and placing as few I-Frames as possible. One of those cool effects (among a plethora) leverages the frame interpolation abilities to generate visual effects as described by hellocatfood. For a couple commands (prep and bake), you need to have ffmpeg installed locally. The script will send the appropriate key strokes to remove the next 10 I-frames while you pop out for a break. The open-source tool ffmpeg is a gold mine for finding strange ways to process video streams. AtomicParsley is a lightweight command line program that can read and set iTunes-style metadata tags in MPEG-4 files & 3gp assets in 3GPP/3GPP2 files. To datamosh an image, please ensure the file is in a bitmap (.bmp) format. Load AutoHotkey with the script below and then when it comes time to remove I-frames in Avidemux simply focus the slider below the video and press Control+F to trigger the AutoHotkey script. Drag and drop video onto mosh.bat to create a datamoshed video. The video above was datamoshed using this automation script. Datamoshing refers to a particular way of breaking video files so that they look strange. #Datamoshing with ffmpegx manualThe following script for AutoHotkey automates I-frame removal in Avidemux, normally a manual process described in this tutorial. ffmpeg - available for Mac, Linux & Windows About Datamoshing. #Datamoshing with ffmpegx softwareFor Windows users AutoHotkey is free, open-source macro-creation and automation software that can handle some of the repetitive tasks involved in datamoshing. Datamoshing videos can be a time-consuming process, automation can help. ![]()
